Faculty and Staff Retirement - Recognition Expenses

The University may present an item of tangible personal property to an employee upon his or her retirement. Generally the value of the item given should not exceed $400. However, when warranted by the length of service, position and achievements of the individual retiring, the value of the item may be greater. In no instance may the value of the item received exceed $2,000. The recognition items described in this section may generally only be awarded as part of the University's annual faculty and staff retirement events.
