Presidential Directive No. 11

Presidential Directive No. 11 was established by California State University, Fullerton to take measures to assure the general public, donors, legislators, students and granting organizations that all funds received by the University are wisely spent and do not personally benefit University employees. All expenditures must be essential, reasonable and support the University's Mission, Goals and Strategies.

If your expense falls under one of these categories, then you will need to complete a Directive 11 Approval form:

• Hospitality Expenses
  - Guide for Food, Hospitality and Event Expenses
• Event Attendance
• Miscellaneous Division or Unit Expenses
• Get Well Gestures
• Memorial Expenses
• Recognition Expenses
• Membership Expenses

The following categories are addressed in Presidential Directive No. 11, but do not require the completion of the Approval form:

• Fines and Penalties
• Late Fees
• Use of University-Issued Credit Cards for Personal Expenses
• Maintenance of Private Vehicles Used for University Business
• Employee Education Benefits
• State Property as Gift or in Lieu of Compensation
